Training
The owner understands that the Trainer will work with your dog(s) a minimum of two (2) sessions per training day. Owner understands that during the program, the Trainer may have days off work, during which the dog will receive care, but no training sessions will be held. The total amount of training time will be such that the Trainer keeps dogs on track to achieving goals. Groot’s Canine offers other enrichment activities, such as individual Play Times, socialization outings, and engagement in puzzle toys. The Owner acknowledges that the Trainer may take dog to locations other than Groot’s Canine and provide interactions with other people, as appropriate, to achieve training goals.
Owner understands and agrees that the length of training required, and what can be accomplished, depends in part on the dog’s prior experience and capacity to learn. The Owner understands that the training will result in the dog responding to the Trainer, and that the dog may not initially respond as reliably to the Owner. The Owner understands that follow-up training is required to generalize commands within the home and reach ultimate goals.
The skills to be worked on in the Board & Train or Boarding Boot Camp program was discussed at length in initial evaluation. At the transfer session on the dog’s pickup day, the Trainer will review training to be implemented at home to maintain goals, and schedule for follow-up lessons.
Payment
Owner agrees to pay the rate for Board & Train or Boarding Boot Camp program in full on the date and time dog is dropped off at Groot’s Canine. Under extenuating circumstances, payment can be deferred, but the Owner understands that all charges must be paid before the pickup date and time in this case, or the dog cannot be picked up. No refunds are available on any Board & Train or Boarding Boot Camp programs.
In an event of termination by the Owner before program/training is complete, the maximum reimbursement will be half of the cost of the remaining time in the program. If the dog becomes ill, injured, or otherwise requires professional medical attention, Groot’s Canine may engage the services of a veterinarian, administer medicine, or give other requisite attention to the dog at the Trainer’s discretion. The Owner agrees to pay all costs and charges for special services requested and any necessary veterinary costs for the dog during the time it is in the care of Groot’s Canine.

The Owner certifies that the dog has no health-related problems which would prevent participation in the Board & Train or Boarding Boot Camp program.
The Owner acknowledges that failure to pick up the dog within 15 calendar days after the day the dog was scheduled to be picked up, the dog shall be deemed to be abandoned.
